While he’s friendly with strangers, it takes a little time to earn his complete trust. However, when it comes to … his doggy pals, Sage is all about the love. He gets along well with any dog and is currently fostered with huskies. Now, Sage may be a quiet fella, but he’s not afraid to join in the chorus when the huskies kick off their howling during breakfast time. He can still get a bit startled when out for walks, but with some patience and reassurance, he’s working on building confidence. Sage is housetrained when let out on a schedule and is also crate trained. Once he knows you, he’s a true sweetheart who adores his people. The perfect home for Sage would be a calm and quiet one, where he can have another dog as a companion and learn the routine from them. He needs someone who is patient and understanding as he settles into his new environment. Sage has put in so much effort to learn to trust humans, and he just needs a little more time to feel completely safe.
