Ruby came to us as a transfer from an overwhelmed shelter. She was fully pregnant, and within hours it was realized that something was wrong, it was not a normal pregnancy. She was rushed to the veterinary clinic where they determined she was swollen secondary to liquid retention. This had … prevented her babies from developing normally and even though she was due to deliver within 2 weeks it was recommended to terminate the pregnancy to save her life. Ruby is a sweet, loving and engaging dog. She attaches easily to humans, relates well with other dogs, and enjoys playing outside. She knows how to use a doggie door, is not picky eating and gives her love lavishly. Ruby would be a great addition to any household. In addition to the home visit it is a requirement the presence of a fenced-in yard in the household.
