Rex

About Rex

Rex, a remarkable 3-year-old Pomeranian weighing 9 pounds. If Rex could share his story, he would reveal a sorrowful past. Sadly, he hasn’t experienced the best treatment over the past three years of his life. However, thanks to the kindness of an earthly angel, he found refuge and walked through our doors. Rex is a sweet boy who finds solace in cuddling and car rides. He walks well on a leash and is crate trained. While he is potty trained, there may be some initial marking when entering a new home. Rex is in need of a compassionate home that understands his needs. He possesses a loving, happy, and playful Pomeranian personality that overflows with love. However, there are a few areas where Rex faces challenges. He has a deep fear of groomers and being brushed, requiring patient and dedicated work to overcome these behaviors. Rex may feel nervous when his mouth is touched, but he has made progress and now allows his foster mom to do so without any issues. It is also best for Rex to be the only dog in the household, as he thrives when he receives undivided care and attention. Additionally, Rex can be protective of his food due to the severity of his past mistreatment. Considering this, it is important for him to find a home without children. In situations that frighten him, Rex may resort to nipping as a means of self-protection. However, in his foster home, he is making remarkable strides and showing wonderful progress. With the right forever home, Rex will learn to embrace a life free from worries. Could you be the one to provide him with the love and understanding he deserves?
