About Quincy
Our first step toward any placement is a completed application. Securely fenced yard, a great reference from your veterinarian and a meaningful conversation with our director. Quincy is a medium-sized (46#) buff colored Collie/Border Collie mix (we think) in search of an active and loving home. He … is shy (as some Border Collies can be) and lovable (as all Collies are.) His fur is soft and warm and will start to gleam soon with a change in diet and a lot of loving hands on him. He is living with some adults with special needs and he is not getting the running and playing that a 1-year-old pup needs to be a happy boy. Quincy has been neutered and micro-chipped. His blood chemistries and CBC are normal and he is heartworm negative. He is housebroken and has learned to open doors to let himself out to go potty if no one is available. This is a highly intelligent dog and he could be trained to do just about anything. But he would not do well left alone in a backyard. He would be bored and become destructive. And we won’t let that happen. Let’s find him a doggie play pal and some humans who are at least as smart as he is. Quincy will help by screening applications himself. He is just that smart!
