Primrose

About Primrose

Prepare yourself to meet Primrose, a senior Rat Terrier mix who deserves a soft and safe place to spend her remaining days. At least 11.5 years old and weighing only 8 pounds, Primrose was found neglected and dumped at a shelter. Her neglect led to infected sinuses and the discovery that her entire jawbone needed to be removed during a dental procedure. However, she has recovered well and now enjoys her soft food with delight. Primrose gets along with dogs her size in her play group and the caring staff at the rescue. While she would likely do well with cats given proper introduction, it is preferred that she goes to a home without small children, although she is good with kids. Primrose is currently in Texas, but you can secure her through a pre-adoption process, which involves submitting an application, getting approved, and paying the adoption fee of $450. This fee covers spaying/neutering, vaccinations, heartworm testing, microchipping, health certificate, and transport fees. The rescue offers a 30-day trial period to ensure the right fit, but in the event that it doesn’t work out, you will need to foster Primrose until she finds a new home. The commitment of Tall Tails Rescue is to provide lifelong care for their dogs, and it is hoped that you share that commitment too.
