Petey is a delightful 6-month-old Lab/Black Mouth Cur puppy. Weighing in at approximately 45 pounds, Petey is a wonderful companion who has shown tremendous potential. His foster mom has enrolled him in doggy daycare, where he has excelled and proven to be a joy to be around. Petey gets along … famously with other dogs and has been in foster care with cats under supervised circumstances, where he has shown positive interactions. He is an active participant in a training group, diligently working on mastering basic commands. Petey is already potty trained, walks well on a leash, doesn’t jump up, knows the “sit” command, and is comfortable in a crate. This well-rounded puppy naturally forms deep bonds with his family and may exhibit protective tendencies. However, he remains extremely friendly towards strangers and readily follows directions. With an impressive attention span, Petey will undoubtedly become a devoted companion for a lucky family. He thrives in an active household and would be an excellent fit for families with children over the age of 8. Petey enjoys playtime with other dogs and can happily coexist as the only pup or alongside a furry sibling. Currently located in Texas, he is available for local adoption. However, if you reside in Washington, Portland (Oregon), Minnesota, Vermont, or along the East Coast, we can work with reputable transporters to arrange his safe journey to you. The adoption fee for Petey is $400, with an additional $200 for transport. Please note that we are unable to facilitate adoptions to Rhode Island and Massachusetts due to state regulations.
