Pepper

About Pepper

“Hi, my name is Pepper. Just like the perfect seasoning, I’m here to add a dash of spice and a lot of love to your life. I’m the sweetest little dog you’ll ever meet, and my heart is as big as my appetite for fun and togetherness. I am a 15-pound young female Wirehaired Terrier. I came from Strafford Animal Control and am now happy not to be there any longer! I’m incredibly playful and full of pep, but I do have a bit of work to do on housebreaking and crate training. I get along fabulously with dogs, cats, and kids, and I’m a true salt-and-pepper personality – high energy and playfulness are my middle names. I’m a little clingy, I must admit. I want nothing more than to be by your side, following you around, and snuggling in your lap. I have a bit of separation anxiety, and I’ll bark when you leave, so apartment life is not for me. I would love a family who is home more often than not and a yard that is fenced. If you are ready for your life to be sprinkled with love and affection, I’m your girl! My adoption fee is $150 and includes my spay/neuter, vaccinations, wellness exam, heartworm test, and microchip! We do adopt out of state with vet references and video home check. Adopter is responsible for coming to get the dog and returning the dog if the adoption does not work out. Remember, dogs are pack animals. Because of this, Rescue One does not adopt to outdoor-only homes. Pets are family and are not disposable. Please make sure that you are 100% committed to a pet before considering adding one to your home. We are a foster-based organization, and we need more fosters to help us save more animals! If you’re interested in saving lives just like the one you’re reading about, fill out a foster app.
