Paisley

Paisley is 4 years old. She is up to date on shots, spayed and micro-chipped. She is good with other dogs and cats and children. Paisley is great inside the house and kennel. She can be shy at times but once she gets to know you she will be your best friend. She loves belly rubs, kisses and to … snuggle. She loves all treats and will sit on command for a treat. She walks well on a leash and with work would fetch well. Right now she will run after the ball but just look at it and run back to you. She will run and hide from you at bath time but is good after you get her in bath. She likes to sleep as close to her human as she can get. She’s the perfect companion pup! Our adoptions are not on a first come first serve basis and there is no fee to apply! We never state any animal is fully house-trained. New environments, situations, families, routines, etc. can lead to accidents even with the most well trained animals. All dogs have a $175 adoption fee which includes vet check, age-appropriate shots (at least 2 sets for puppies), dewormer, heartworm test (if over 6 months), rabies (if at least 16 weeks) and spay/neuter! Puppies will be altered before adoption. All rescues and shelters practice pediatric spay and neuter. This is essential in our rescue efforts and it is a policy that we will stick by. All dogs over 8 weeks and 2 pounds will be altered before adoption. There are no exceptions to this rule on all healthy and adoptable dogs. We have researched and discussed in depth with multiple vets everything on pediatric spay and neuter and from a rescue stand point it must be done. Please do not ask for an extension on spay and neutering, it will not be granted on a healthy puppy! Puppies/Dogs that are not available for adoption due to vetting not being complete can be reserved with an approved application and a non-refundable $50 deposit. This deposit is applied to your adoption fee and the remaining $125 is due at pick up. Wags and Whiskers is an all-volunteer rescue. We also have full-time jobs and families. We will try to answer all questions and applications in a timely manner. Please be patient and bear with us.
