NALA

Nala was found running stray here in Burbank. Although she had a microchip, her previous owner did not get back to us to claim her. Nala is a husky to the extreme: She is not suitable for a first-time dog owner, or someone who is not familiar with the breed and/or willing to put forth the time and … energy required for higher maintenance dogs. Even by husky standards, she is extremely high energy and will need an owner with an active lifestyle who will provide her adequate mental and physical stimulation. Nala cannot go to an apartment or condo – she will require a house with a secure backyard with high fences (she has escaped from her kennel twice, scaling the 7-ft fence). We believe she may do okay with children and other dogs (a meet and greet is a must), but cannot go to a home with cats or other small animals. Nala is an extremely sweet and loving dog, but will need to go to a specific home in order for her to thrive. Please make sure that you are committed to giving her time, patience, and consistency that she will need.
