Max

Max is a beautiful 3-year-old Australian Shepherd/Border Collie mix. He’s smart, lovable, and very active. He loves to run around the yard and play ball. He will bring his toys to his owners, asking to play “fetch.” Max gets along well with adult humans and other dogs but he would do best in a home … with no cats or young children. He is housebroken and neutered. Max has had a few obedience training lessons and can “sit” and “stay” on command. He really enjoyed working for treats at his lessons. Max was found as a stray by the High Plains Humane Society in Hays, KS. He was shy at first, but now he really loves being part of a family. He’s happy, playful, and ready to find his forever home! Max is in a foster home in Wichita, Kansas and will not be shipped. Requirements to adopt Max are as follows: His adopter will have to be in the Wichita Metro area or surrounding area; no out-of-state adopters because we need to do a home visit. A secure fenced yard is a must and invisible fences are not acceptable. A veterinarian reference is required showing that your present/past pets are up to date on shots, spayed/neutered and on heartworm prevention. His adoption fee is $200.00.
