Marco

About Marco

Are you the Polo to this Marco? Marco is a 3-month-old cutie pie that is as sweet as can be. He always has some pep in his step and is eager to be your new best friend. He loves to be the center of attention, especially if that means he gets yummy treats. Marco currently weighs around 5lbs and will likely grow up to be around 15-20lbs. Marco came to us as a tiny 3-day-old baby after he was found dumped with his brother, White Paw, and mom, Lupita. He has grown up in foster care and has become such an inquisitive little cutie. Marco is the life of the party and is always the one to initiate playtime. He loves a good wrestling session with his mom or brother and will never turn down an opportunity for something tasty. He is still learning all of his basic manners though, so he needs a family that is willing to dedicate all the time it takes to work on his training and continue to socialize him so he can grow up to be the best boy he can be. Marco loves other dogs and we think he would do best with another playful small dog in his new home so he always has someone to play with. He has not met any cats before but might do well living with dog-savvy cats with a slow introduction and proper supervision. Due to his small size, Marco would do best with kids 10 years and older. Marco is still working on his housetraining, so his family will need to be patient with him and expect accidents while he is learning. Marco hasn’t spent much time away from his mom and brother, so he needs a family with a schedule that would allow them to gradually get him used to being home alone. Marco is looking for his fur-ever family, so, if you think that might be you, submit an adoption application today! Marco’s adoption fee is $350. It can take up to 3-5 business days to hear back once you have submitted an application. The Yolo County SPCA is a private, not-for-profit, foster home-based animal rescue organization and does not have a shelter. All our animals awaiting adoption are in foster homes. Our adoption fees help us cover the cost of spay/neuter surgery, microchip and registration, and rabies vaccination (if over 4 months of age at intake or spay/neuter) for all animals. Dogs are tested for heartworm and started on preventatives, and are given a DAPP vaccination. Adult dogs are up to date on their vaccinations prior to adoption. Puppies will be current on the vaccinations appropriate to their age. The adopter is responsible for additional vaccinations as necessary after the adoption.
