Mandy the Toy Lover

Mandy is such a sweetheart and an incredible dog. She is about 3 years old and weighs 45 pounds. She is so smart and loves to play with her toys (she never guards them from other dogs or people)! She has done great with all dog meet/greets too. Mandy is so smart she has figured out how to become a … fabulous dog while being mostly deaf. We think she may hear a little but not well enough to communicate with her people. Mandy is learning sign language! Can you believe that? In just 5 minutes she learned the signs for sit, stay and come! She is learning up to 6 commands to listen to her handler. Another important communication for Mandy is her leash. She is working with our trainer to make sure she knows and understands the leach is her tool for understanding what you need her to do. These leash skills are making Mandy be able to go anywhere in public with you, like hiking! Mandy would make a great hiking buddy or go on a neighborhood run too. She also loves to be affection; so we think she would love to snuggle with her new humans on the couch, too! When she’s not having a blast playing in the yard with her toys, she will lay on ground right next to us and ask for some extra pets and love. Mandy has “eyeliner” on one eye and she has striking light blue eyes. She is such a gorgeous girl, and we cannot wait for her to find her forever home!
