Lulu

Say hello to Lulu! This dog is with Rat Terrier Rescue Canada. Please note that we are unable to adopt outside of Canada. All our foster dogs are in private foster homes. Fostered in Caledonia, Lulu is a … sweet, confident happy bulldog puppy who loves to cuddle and be part of everything that is going on. She is about 12 weeks old (born in August 2023) and 16 lbs. We are not exactly certain about her age and breed as she and her sister were rescued from a commercial breeding operation that has shut down, although we were told both parents are bulldogs. Lulu lives in a foster home with other dogs and loves to play with them. She is very quiet and does not bark often. She will chase the cats in the home but would be fine to live with dog savvy cats. There are older children in her foster home, and she is happy to play with them. She would love a child to play with in her forever home. Lulu is working on pee pad training as she is not fully vaccinated yet and is doing well with this. She will need to learn to walk on a leash once she has all her vaccines and her new family will need to commit to working on socializing her outside of the house as she spent her first 11 weeks of her life in a barn with minimal human interaction. She has come a long way in her foster home and loves everyone she has met so far! Lulu and her sister are crated at night together, but she does not like to be alone. Lulu would love to have another dog in the home to play with or definitely at least someone who is home most of the time as she would not do well with long periods alone. Bulldogs are not known to be overly active so Lulu would do well in any type of home environment and ideally with someone who is familiar with the breed to continue to work with her on developing her confidence and puppy training.
