About Lorelei Sweet Girl Loves Everyone

The way Lorelei will look at you with total adoration will melt your heart. She’s an amazing car rider and will be an awesome family companion. She is pure love. She’s the perfect little size to load up and go. She is built athletically, so she could definitely keep up if you are the type to go on adventures, but she does not necessarily need this to be happy. She’s just grateful wherever she is. The vet estimates her to be 2-3 years old and she’s petite at only 48 lbs. She is super confident meeting all new people, not shy or afraid with men, women, or kids. Lorelai loves to get affection. She will melt into you to get all of the pets she can. She leaned in during the touch test (we behaviorally assess all of our dogs) and asked for more. Lorelai likes the baby pool and will get into it. She enjoys standing in it and chasing toys in it! She really likes to play fetch too! I’ve seen staff throwing the ball for her while she has been out. She would bring the ball back and ask for it to get thrown again. She’s a “fetch” girl!!! She loves it. She also enjoys getting a stuffed animal and throwing it around in the air or waving it back-and-forth, she has a playful side that is quite adorable. She also likes for you to act like you’re going to take the stuffed animal away from her. She loves to play like that. My kids ran around chasing her with the toy in her mouth, you can see it in the video. She is easy on leash using the gentle leader that we will provide with her adoption. If you are not using a gentle leader, and you were just using a leash hooked to her collar, she pulls a little bit at first but once she tires out, she doesn’t pull it all and she walks right by you. I took her on a long walk through the park, and we were passing all kinds of other dogs, and she had no reactivity. When it comes to other dogs, Lorelai thrives best in the presence of lower energy companions, she is just much more relaxed around that type of personality. She appreciates a calm and peaceful environment where she can feel secure and relaxed. Lorelai is a fantastic car rider and sits smiling the whole trip. The stray and animal overpopulation in the Greater Houston area is one of the highest in the nation. Statistics show that there are over 1 million homeless animals in this region alone! Three Little Pitties Rescue is a nonprofit dog and cat rescue that partners with the community to make a difference. Our mission is to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and saving all breeds of dogs and cats from the streets or animal shelters that oftentimes have no choice but to euthanize animals for space. We prepare them for adoption by properly vetting and providing individualized care through our incredible behavior program that consists of socialization and leash training for all animals that enter our adoption program prior to matching them with loving families who will treasure them for the rest of their lives. They are rescue dogs and will require continued training efforts once adopted, but will be well on their way to being the best dogs that they can be! Three Little Pitties Rescue will soon be celebrating our 5-year anniversary! Over the course of this time, we have been very fortunate for so much growth, allowing us to further connect with the community and save many lives. Through the combined efforts of all of our hardworking staff and volunteers, we have placed over 10,000 very lucky dogs and cats into amazing homes! By adopting from us, you save two lives – the pet you adopt, and you create an opportunity for another animal to be brought into our rescue program. Together, we can be heroes. Due to the rising cost of fuel and transportation expenses, there will be an additional $42 surcharge. Out-of-town pets are cared for by non-local organizations who can make arrangements for the pet to be transported to your area.
