About Kona

Meet Kona You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Our website has information about our rescue, adoption process and link to our adoption application www.collarofhope.org We are a foster home based rescue and have no facility to visit. Kona is a great dog and she’s still wondering where her awesome new family is? Kona arrived very pregnant and gave birth to 8 babies Dec 20, 2019! She has playful energy and also loves to lay at your feet. She likely had a litter every time she went into heat. She listens really well, has shown great house manners and is a lovable companion. This is a good thing because she hates being crated and has busted out of them. She loves playing with her foster’s dogs. They are husky/shepherd mixes and she is even submissive with them. Cats and small dogs, she’s been case by case basis with how well, or not, she does with them. In her foster home, she lives with a sassy old cat and they’ve figured things out with supervision but she didn’t do well with a cat that wanted to play with her and be close friends. She’s also been with small dogs and has been fine with them but larger dogs are best for this girl if there are dogs in the home. Her new family must be a home owner and have a securely fenced yard, no exceptions. Prior to adoption, our dogs are spay/neutered, vaccinated including rabies/age appropriate, and parasite treated/prevented as a minimum. Please visit our website directly to complete an online application. 12/21/21 11:43 AM
