Kino possesses a gentle and affectionate nature and finds comfort in snuggling and curling up in your lap. While he may be initially shy around new people, with gentle and calm attention, he quickly overcomes his apprehension. Once he establishes trust, Kino becomes quite social and showers those … he trusts with kisses. Kino is already fully house trained and crate trained. He actually enjoys his crate and willingly goes inside for little rests, where he remains happy and calm. He gets along wonderfully with the foster’s two dogs, a male and female, without any issues. However, due to his need for undivided attention, his foster believes Kino would thrive as the sole dog in his forever home. He currently lives with two cats who are savvy with dogs, and while he occasionally chases them to play rather than harm them, proper introductions and supervision would be necessary in a new home. An ideal home for Kino would have a fully fenced and secure yard where he can have some space to run and release his energy. However, he can also adapt well to apartment or condo living since he is naturally quiet. It’s important for his adopter to either work from home or be home for part of the day, as Kino thrives on companionship and would love to accompany his humans whenever possible. He can happily coexist with respectful children aged 6 and older. Kino’s innate desire to please makes him an exceptional companion for anyone who understands and appreciates these wonderful qualities.
