About King
Have you ever met a pure bred American Staffordshire Terrier? King was surrendered to a small shelter before his 1st birthday. King celebrated turning 1 year old in his cold kennel. Since he was just a puppy he bonded quickly with the staff which was both a blessing & a curse. Ya see, King became … protective of his “people”. So visitors were a threat to them & to his “home”. After many months at the shelter King was given the opportunity to go to an amazing board & train facility specializing in these misunderstood bully breeds. During his stay King was introduced to many different people. He learned strangers were not a threat. He also learned some manners like “sit”, “place” & how to walk well on lead. King flourished. The owner & trainer said King was incredible to work with. He called him “majestic”. King is now living in a foster home where he is thriving! What his foster says: This guy is amazing. Intimidating appearance yet just a big sweet moosh. He loves his walks, playtime, other dogs & food! King soaks up affection. He truly cannot get enough and adores belly rubs! He is so smart. He is a tad stubborn at times yet usually acquiesces when he knows Buddy Budder raw peanut butter is the reward! King is simply magnificent. Also he loves car rides, dogs and people. Due to his size & youthful exuberance children over 12 are recommended. Out-of-town pets are cared for by non-local organizations who can make arrangements for the pet to be transported to your area.
