The Russian girls are 7 weeks old and DNA results are in! According to Wisdom Panel, they are a mix of 8 different breeds with the top breeds being American Pit Bull Terrier and Australian Cattle Dog. Their estimated adult weight is between 40-66 lbs. Katia currently weighs 7.6 lbs and Anya weighs … 6.4 lbs. Their foster mom reports that they are so loving and when they are tired they curl up in her arms or in bed with each other. Anya is a give it 150%, jump in head first and ask questions later type of pup. Every day is a new fun day with Anya! Katia is a little more reserved. She will watch first and if it is safe, then go for it! We are currently taking applications for pre-adoption! If you are interested in Katia or Anya, please apply for her! We are dedicated to rescuing dogs in shelters, dogs in abusive or neglectful situations, and dogs surrendered by their owners because of difficult circumstances. We place dogs in loving, responsible, committed permanent homes, following a comprehensive adoption process, which includes taking considerable care in finding good matches and educating prospective adopters about the responsibilities and costs of bringing a dog into their homes and lives. Dogs in our care are spayed or neutered, micro-chipped, receive all appropriate veterinary care and treatment, and placed in nurturing foster homes while they await placement in their permanent homes. We assist dogs in distress without regard to age, breed or ease of placement. Dogs in the greatest need take priority. Finally, we strive to work with shelters and other rescue and humane organizations to develop a network of supporters and volunteers in order to create a better world for homeless dogs.
