Imelda

About Imelda

Imelda is a 15-pound, three-month-old Heeler mix. Don’t let her small stature fool you – this little lady is full of confidence and curiosity! There’s nothing she’s afraid of! Imelda loves to play with her siblings and resident dog every chance she gets. While she is great at entertaining herself too, she constantly wants to follow her foster mom around the house to see what’s going on and tries to help in her own way. Since she is so young, she is working hard on housebreaking, but have not started leash training. While Imelda has had no accidents in her crate, she does have occasional accidents inside when not in her play pen. She will settle quickly in her crate and let you know when she needs to go out. Imelda’s favorite toys are Nyla bones and rope toys. She loves anything that will allow her to teeth as she grows. She’s a quick learner and knows the commands “outside” and “inside”. She’s currently learning “come” and “no”. Her foster mom thinks she knows “no” already, but doesn’t always want to stop if she’s having fun. If you’re looking for a medium sized dog, who wants to be your companion and explore everything, look no further than Imelda! Imelda is being fostered in Middletown, NJ. Her adoption fee is $500. All of our animals come spayed or neutered, fully up to date on vaccinations, including rabies (if age appropriate) and Bordetella, are micro-chipped, heartworm negative, current on flea/tick and heartworm prevention, dewormed, and treated for any ailments found upon veterinary examination. The adoption fee covers a portion of these services, and makes it possible for us to continue rescuing animals. For more information on the adoption fees and the adoption process, please complete our adoption application – an application allows us to get to know your family better so we can assess whether the animal you are interested in is a good match for your home. An application does not obligate you to adopt. Please understand that due to the volume of applications some animals receive, we are unable to contact all applicants. If your application is considered a good fit for the animal you are interested in, or even a different pet, a volunteer will give you a call as soon as possible. We are a foster-based rescue and do not have a shelter location where animals can be seen during the week.
