Humboldt

About Humboldt

This is a courtesy listing; you must contact the North County Shelter directly to meet Humboldt. ARRF is not familiar with this dog. Humboldt is a nearly perfect red and white Husky mix ready to share his life and good karma with a family of his own. He is neutered and up to date on vaccinations. He is four years old and weighs 57 lbs. Humboldt has it all – good looks, athletic ability, an outgoing personality, manners, and a joyful soul. And if that’s not enough, he’s brilliant! This happy boy loves running and walking off-leash in the shelter play yards. He’s a great ball player and can’t get enough of the shelter swimming pools – he throws his body into the water and dunks his head, too – much fun to watch! Humboldt tries to be house trained by taking care of his business outside whenever he can; he knows “sit” and other basic commands and is eager to learn more, especially when treats are part of his lesson. He respects his handler and wants to please, and he shows his gratitude for being petted or brushed by trying to crawl into his handler’s lap – such an affectionate and grateful fellow. As for other dogs, Humboldt appears to like them. He will approach dogs walking near him in a friendly way, often stopping to give the other dog a “play bow,” once again showing off his good manners. And he doesn’t seem to care about cats. Humboldt is available for adoption at the San Diego County Animal Shelter, 2481 Palomar Airport Road, Carlsbad, CA 92011. You can meet Humboldt without an appointment Tues-Fri from 1 pm to 3:30 pm or Sat-Sun from 10 am to 3:30 pm. If you prefer, you can call (619) 767-2675 for an appointment. Humboldt’s ID number is A1899779.
