Let me introduce you to Hank, a gentle and resilient Bulldog/Mastiff mix who is three years old. Hank’s story began when a compassionate woman adopted him as a tiny puppy, rescuing him from a dire situation. Despite her best intentions, she found herself overwhelmed after taking in other dogs in … need. Now, facing health challenges and the possibility of eviction, she must unfortunately say goodbye to Hank as she cannot bring him along on her uncertain path. Hank has shown incredible strength throughout his life. Although he was once kept outdoors, chained and isolated, his spirit remains unbroken. While he may be selective in his interactions with other dogs, his owner describes him as a loving and dedicated companion to people. However, due to his exuberance, it is recommended that he be placed in a home with older children, as younger ones may find his energy overwhelming. Hank has a deep affection for treats and takes them with the utmost gentleness. Though he is not accustomed to indoor living, he is eager to embrace the comforts it offers. During the few times he has been indoors, he has displayed good manners and appears to be housebroken. With patience and understanding, he will quickly adapt to his new surroundings and thrive in a home with a secure physical fence where he can explore safely. Ideally, Hank would benefit from a family where someone is present for longer periods, providing him with the reassurance and stability he craves. Hank’s journey is far from over, and he is ready to begin a new chapter filled with love and companionship.
