Gus is a male Pit Bull Terrier mix rescued in Tennessee. Our veterinary partner estimates that Gus is 5 months old at the time of intake in September 2023. Gus is good with people and other dogs. We suspect that the only good day Gus has had in his entire life thus far was the day we picked him up … and brought him into our rescue. Not only is he suffering from a horrific skin infection that has made his fur fall out and his skin like concrete, but he has had a rectal prolapse which required surgical repair. Gus’ oozing eyes tell his sad, sad story. But soon the expert veterinary care he is receiving will set him on the road to recovery and that road will lead Gus to a happy life. This little guy is super sweet and adorable, and we are working hard to see that sad face turn into a happy one.
