Giselle

About Giselle

Giselle is a 6-month-old, 35 lb lean-boned mixed Plott Hound. She is a happy, inquisitive and playful dog who loves to romp with the larger resident dog in her foster home. She is enthusiastic about going on walks or hikes and walks well on a leash. Giselle is a bit inexperienced (being a pup) in the ways of the world and will continue to build self-confidence from introductions to new things. When patiently introduced to new things she is curious and accepts guidance. Giselle’s forever home should be one where she is presented with many different types of stimulation, such as walks, meeting people, other dogs, toys, hikes, scenting, etc. A buddy dog would be great because she’s so social and loves other dogs. When introduced to strangers Giselle is wary but warms up quickly. Giselle and her breed have no road sense at all and should be kept in a safe area (fenced yard) and on leash for walks because she has a tendency to wander. Giselle easily takes to corrections. If pursuing something, she can be redirected, and she easily accepts. A forever home who knows what a puppy needs to continue to develop self-confidence would be ideal. She sleeps quietly in her night kennel. She is well on her way to being housebroken. Giselle is a happy, goofy, playful puppy. Her forever home should be one that accepts Giselle’s puppy personality and will guide her to become a happy, goofy, playful mature dog. In doing that Giselle will reward you with her lifetime of devotion and tail wags. Adoption application, home visit and adoption fee required. If you would like to apply for adoption, please complete the online application. Contact [email protected] for questions or if issues are encountered with the adoption application or general adoption process. Foster Homes are desperately needed in order to help more animals like this one. Please consider opening your heart and home to a homeless animal. As part of our adoption agreement, we require that you and your adopted canine attend a minimum of one group basic obedience course within 4 months of adoption. If adopting a puppy under 4 months old, we also require a group puppy socialization course be started immediately upon adoption. In addition, we require that puppies under 6 months of age will not be alone for more than 4 hours at a time in an 8 hour workday. We highly encourage working families to consider older puppies and adult dogs, but if your heart is set on a puppy, please consider doggie daycare.
