Felicia

Felicia is an adorable sweetheart! Look at that sweet face with the expressive eyes and rabbit eyes! She is about 6-7 years old, a great size at 33 pounds, and a boxer mix with a gorgeous brindle coat. While she is initially shy in new situations, and will need some patience; her curiosity helps … her warm-up and overcome her shyness. Felicia has learned how good it can be to have a nice soft dog bed and cuddles with her foster. Felicia found herself through no fault of his own in a rural North Carolina shelter that does not get many adoptions. Poor Felicia (and another young dog) were turned into the shelter when their owner was no longer available to take care of them. PetConnect came to Felicia’s rescue and found a safe temporary local foster until she could be brought to the DC area to find her new home. Felicia will be best in a home with moderate to low activity. In the comfort of her foster home, she settles down nicely and hangs out in her dog bed or cuddles with her human. If you are looking for a very sweet, low-energy, “couch potato” Felicity may be the one for you! Thus, Felicia has adjusted to the creatures comforts in her foster home. She seems to understand housetraining, and would be a great companion. Felicia is spayed, up to date on vaccines and preventatives and eager to find her special person to love! The adoption fee for Felicia is $250, which includes routine vetting, vaccines, and spay/neuter. Please note that the first step is to fill out an application (It does not commit you in anyway but allows us to discuss with you if you and the dog are a good fit). In addition, an important step in approving adoption applicants is to complete a vet check to ensure that your current and previous pet(s) are kept up to date on vaccines (including rabies), spayed or neutered, maintained on appropriate monthly preventatives and examined annually by your vet.
