CRUMPET

About CRUMPET

Who loves Crumpets?? (Actually, who doesn’t love Crumpets??) And this one is so sweet, she doesn’t need butter or jam. Clever girl Crumpet, was born in foster to a pregnant momma we picked up from a hoarding situation. Mom was very under-socialized, and flattened out like a pancake when approached, so we called her Flap Jackie and named all her pups (7 in all) after types of breakfast bakes. This girl, is Crumpet. Crumpet was born August 1st and has known nothing but love and excellent care since birth. It is our policy, to keep puppies in our care, until they are old enough to alter, at around five to six months old, so we are sure that it gets done. This also gives us the advantage of insuring they are fully vaccinated against, parvo, distemper and rabies and all worms are cleared. Of all the puppies born to Flap Jackie, Crumpet was the most distinct. With her beautiful milk chocolate coat and her four white socks, she was stunning from the moment she arrived and continues to turn heads. She has legs for days, big ole ears that nothing escapes and she is made for adventure. If you are looking for a pint sized adventure buddy who is easy to pack around but game enough to boldly go where no one has gone before, Crumpet is your girl. In her foster home, Crumpet is still in her puppy stage of life. She and litter mate Waffles, challenge their foster on a daily basis, with fun and games known as, puppy appropriate behavior but are also, super snuggly and loving, when they are played out. Crumpet is good with children, likes her toys and treats and is very curious and bold. She did spend a few weeks in a home with chickens and that did not turn out so well, so unless your chickens are kept securely in an enclosed area, Crumpet is probably not the girl for you, but she is the dog of a lifetime, for some lucky person. This entire litter of puppies, are super smart, super sensitive and intuitive, with the added benefit of being fun sized, too. We cannot be 100% sure of our breed guess, but one of the fosters, who intends to adopt her pup, did a DNA test that came back with some crazy results. 28% Chihuahua, (not surprising) and 22% American Pit Bull (there’s a twist) and the rest are all small breed dogs in small percentages, like Pomeranian, Pekingese, Poodle and the ever popular and prolific “SUPERMUTT” weighs in at a predominant, 30%. So, there is a pretty good chance, whatever type breed is your favorite, Crumpet has a little of that floating around in her veins. We do not expect this litter to get bigger than 20lbs at maturity and probably, much less plus so they are perfect for travel, condo and apartment living but equally as at home in many different types of home situations. Heck, Crumpet would enjoy life on the road with a trucker, if someone was looking for a little shot gun buddy. Crumpet is nearly housebroken (knows what she is supposed to do but sometimes forgets) is crate trained and is dog and cat friendly. She has been around children four and up and has shown a natural affinity for children. She would make an excellent new addition to the busy family that likes to include their dog or a great side kick to someone who leads an active adventurous life and is looking for the perfect partner. She would be an awesome candidate for puppy obedience classes or play dates with friends, where she can keep strengthening her already stellar confidence and social skills. While raised with a variety of dogs and siblings to play with, she would be fine as an only dog, and might even do better, as the sole recipient of a humans, guidance and attention. So, if you would like to meet this gorgeous girly with the go-go boots that are made for walking or hiking, or camping, or agility, or travel or whatever else you had in mind, please submit your application. Waffles is scheduled for spay on January 12th and will be available soon after that. She is fully puppy vaccinated, fecal checked clear of worms, has had her rabies vaccine and will be micro-chipped during her spay. All you add is a bit of guidance and a whole lot of love.
