“Hello there, I go by the name of chill Cooper. I am an 8-year-old distinguished Hungarian rat hound (lab and hound mix). I have taken a vow of silence and only speak when the occasion calls for it. For instance, when someone unexpectedly walks through the front door. Or when I am left alone … outside by myself for too long. I get excited to go for walks, but I am not built for speed or distance. I just stop to smell or lie down when I have gone far enough. If you give me a push or a treat, I will get going again. My caretakers have been taking me for more walks and I am getting used to the smells and am stopping less. In my previous home, I was used to sleeping on beds and couches. Unfortunately, my current caretakers are not as chill as me and insist that I sleep in my dog bed and stay off the furniture. Which isn’t so bad as long as I am in the same room as them. I know basic commands but just might not feel like listening at that moment unless you have some snacks/treats. I do fine with kids and when the neighbors stopped by to say hello. One of the caretaker’s children was all up in my face and giving me all kinds of love. Come and meet me today!”
