Boomer

Boomer is a medium-sized male Basset Hound & Australian Cattle Dog / Blue Heeler Mix, he is 2 years old and 28 lbs. Boomer’s been in my home for only 3 days. He previously stayed with his rescuer for about 10 days and their experience was similar. He greets other dogs nicely. Immediately showed his … belly to my 9-year-old female dog; Licks the face of my male a lot and lives in harmony with both. He also seems to be good with cats. He has a relaxed personality and loves to snuggle. He enjoys chasing toys that are thrown for him and exploring outside. He is doing excellent with his house training. With fairly frequent trips outside, I have been letting him roam a large area of the house. Seems to fine with all body handling. He is comfortable with confinement in both a crate and a puppy pen where he sleeps overnight or when we leave the house. He hasn’t done any chewing or other destructive behaviors, but he did move a flipflop from one room to another with no damage! As far as we know, he has had no training, but has started learning hand signals for sit, down, and touch. He seems food motivated. From what I’ve seen, I think this little guy would make a welcome addition to any family even first-time dog owners. He will be altered, vaccinated, health checked, dewormed, and micro-chipped.
