About Bluebell’s Story

To My Former Owner: “We were never meant to be together forever. I know keeping a whole litter of puppies isn’t really possible, but it would have been nice if you had done things differently. It would have been nice if my mama didn’t have litter after litter before you finally agreed to get her spayed after you had yet another litter that you were struggling to find homes for. It would have been nice if you would have made sure that my siblings and I all had amazing and loving homes waiting for us when we were ready. I have to admit when you loaded all of us up and surrendered us to the local spay and neuter clinic in exchange for agreeing to get my mama spayed…I was nervous. I had no idea what would happen, but it turns out everything worked itself out! The people at the clinic were so nice, and they ended up reaching out to PPFT, and before I knew it…I was in a foster home with them! Things may have not turned out the way I thought they should, but then again that is how life works. And in the end, I ended up here because of it and here soon my forever family is going to come for me. So, I just wanted to write this letter to let you know that and hope that Mama and everyone else is doing well!” -Bluebell. To My Future Family: “Hi there. What is the proper way to introduce you to the people you may be spending the rest of your life with? My name is Bluebell (I am from the Cookout Litter) and I am a 10-week-old, 15lb female Great Pyrenees. I have a lovely snow-white coat and am an adorable fluffball. I am guessing that I will probably top out somewhere in the 70lb range. I am an outgoing girl and don’t know that I have ever met a stranger. I am always ready to play or go on an adventure. I just don’t have that much stamina though so after playing hard I will pass out and nap for a couple hours. I think my energy level will be a good mix of playful and calm once I am fully grown. I think that makes me a really good choice for your family because it means I will always be up for doing stuff with you but will also know when it is time to just relax and chill. I am also a big fan of cuddling after playtime, and am an amazing snuggler! I do love toys and will chase after them if thrown. I am good with other dogs and cats. I am on the fearless side and will run right up to new animals and people to try and make friends. If I can get them to play with me…that is even better! I am working on my potty and kennel training and my house manners are about as to be expected for a pup my age. Do you think I am the girl for you? If so, let’s find out! Please I am begging you though, only apply to adopt me if you can keep me forever. If you can’t keep me through all of my life’s changes, don’t be the one that makes me have to be passed around a few months/years down the line. That just isn’t fair to me. I would never give up on you, so please don’t give up on me. I want to be your forever…not your until dog.” Location: Edmond, OK. Adopters must be able to pick up their new dog, no exceptions. Adoption fee is $300 and includes two rounds of the DHLPP, Rabies, Bordetella, fecal, deworming, Heartworm test, micro-chip, spay, and she will be current on heartworm and flea/tick prevention. FROM HER FOSTER MOM: Bluebell is a love bug! She likes to snuggle up when she gets tired and is very playful when she’s awake. She spends most of the day outside on the covered patio and in the yard playing with her toys. She loves people and other dogs. She currently sleeps in a large crate at night and is let outside every couple of hours to go potty. She would love a home where she can spend lots of time outdoors with another dog to play with. She also loves playing in the water in her kiddie pool. She does fine being inside for short periods of time, but would rather be outside. She would be a great addition to any family! Bluebell would do best in a home with another dog to keep her company and play with her.
