Blaze

About Blaze

Blaze was found as a stray and taken to a local Pound but never claimed. We were more than happy to take him into our rescue and give him the second chance that he so deserves. He’s vaccinated including rabies and micro-chipped. His neuter is booked and will be performed before he’s adopted. When he first came into foster he was very underweight and scared of everything around him and basically of life itself. I’m happy to say that is no longer who he is and he’s getting more confident about just being a dog every day. We can only imagine what sort of life he had up until when he ended up at the Pound so a family to love him and help him thrive is who he’s looking for. He was quite underweight but has been thriving and bulking up in his great foster home. Blaze is housetrained and will let you know when he needs to go outside for the bathroom. He’s also crate trained and sleeps quietly in it all night with it covered and he snuggled up with his teddies and blanket. He will also nap in there in the day as he knows it’s his safe place to be. He’s doing really well with his leash training and walks nicely beside you. He needs a family that will continue with training and obedience classes to help him be the best boy he can be. He’s very smart, eager to please and picks on the basic commands very quickly so training classes should be a breeze for him. Blaze is still very much a puppy in his antics and talks to you when he wants food or to go outside. He will put things in his mouth that he’s not allowed to but is easily corrected. He has another dog in his foster home and they get along well together as he’s very submissive with her so he would definitely suit a home with another dog. He hasn’t met a cat but if the cat is dog savvy and introductions slow then they should get along just fine. He loves to run around and happily play with any toy he can find. He needs a fenced yard so he can run and play and burn off that puppy energy. His new family should be active and want to take him on big walks and hiking on the trails so he gets the exercise he needs. We recommend children aged 10 and up as we don’t really know if he’s spent any time with them and he hasn’t in his foster home. If Blaze sounds like the type of guy for you then please put in an application to meet him.
