Birch

We pulled Birch from a shelter because we thought he was a Westie but now we do think he’s likely mixed with a Maltese. This can be a designer breed called a Highland Malt. We have ordered a DNA Breed ID test kit for him, just to try to be as accurate as possible in representing him. Whatever he … is, he’s adorable! Birch is healthy, neutered, vaccinated and groomed – he’s ready to go as soon as we find just the right home for him! He’s friendly with people and dogs, very energetic and high spirited. Often you can just see a blur as he runs back and forth. As such, someone who is more active, has the space, and can keep his brain occupied will be the best match for him. With or without other dogs is fine. We are looking to place him in a home, not an apartment, and in the northeast or middle Atlantic states, so he’s not too far. Birch was severely matted when he arrived so we had to have our groomer shave him. He’s clean now and cute in this puppy cut but his hair tends to be long, white and straight when grown in, so he’ll look different later on, depending on how he’s groomed.
