Archie is available! Archie is a 3-year-old not-yet-neutered male Golden/Samoyed mix. He came to the US from Japan with his owner. His owner has medical issues and must return to Japan and cannot take him. Archie is handsome and friendly. He is known to pull on a leash and needs training with a … leash. Note that he is allergic to chicken. He lived with a cat and they got along well, but he has never been around other dogs other than on a walk. He seems shy around men and can be anxious if there are several dogs around. Archie has never been around children, and he likes to herd, so would likely do best with older children only. All potential fosters and adopters must complete an application, pay the $25.00 application fee and have a home visit before being considered for any dog. If you reside in Arizona and are interested in adopting a dog like this from Arizona Golden Rescue, we recommend that you complete the Online Adoption Application to begin the process. We do not adopt outside of the state of Arizona. Once we receive your application and application fee, a home visit will be scheduled. Once your home visit is approved, you will be placed on our waiting list. (Please be aware that your application cannot be processed until the application fee is paid.) Our sole purpose is to find the perfect home for the dog as our dogs always come first. Because we have new rescues coming in all the time, if the Golden that is the right dog for you is not available at this time it will probably come into Rescue and you would be notified of the availability. Waiting times vary depending upon how specific your preferences are. The more you restrict the factors involved in choosing a dog – age, sex, coat color, etc. – the longer the wait may be before we find the perfect dog for you. Please note: it is the policy of AGR not to place a dog less than 3 years of age with a family that has children less than 3 years of age.
