About Alice
Here comes Alice. Her owner passed away in October after a long illness. While her owner was in hospice until the end, Alice was left alone in the house for almost three months except for a neighbor who came 3 times a day to feed her and let her out. She has no one left in the world to take care of … her. “It broke my heart, so I am fostering her as a favor to my friend, who is the Estate Executor but cannot keep her.” Alice will do best in a calm home with one or two adults all to herself. She is cautious around new people or places until she feels safe. It took her about three days to fully relax, but now she is so affectionate and happy. She is a smart, quiet, easy dog to live with and just wants to be in the same room with you. She is completely housebroken. There have been no accidents since she arrived here, and she will come up to you, give a little huff and a hop to signal she has to go out. Sometimes, she will just come over and stand next to me, hoping I will pet her. She understands she can play with anything in the toy basket but has not chewed or disturbed anything else in the house. You can tell she was well cared for and well-loved by the same person since she was eight weeks old. A fenced-in yard would be ideal for Alice. Come meet this precious girl today!
