Home Dog Adoption Roosevelt

About Roosevelt

Roosevelt is an energetic small dog that is eager to be loved. When he first got to his second foster home he had some separation anxiety maybe because he thought that he would be abandoned once again but the fact that at his second foster home he lives with many other small dogs let him comprehend that he won’t be abandoned anymore and being with many other dogs and being treated with love and respect help him settle in. Roosevelt is a sweet dog that loves to be cuddle all the time but he is playful as well, loves to play fetch and he needs daily walks at least twice a day. Roosevelt is pretty smart and food motivated so it’s pretty easy to train him, as a matter of fact he already knows how to sit if you show him a treat. What does the dog’s ideal home look like? The ideal home for Roosevelt would be a home where he could be a second dog and the other dog should be as playful as he is to be a good match. Roosevelt on her first week would need time and patient to adapt to his new family so he can understand that he won’t be abandoned any more. At his current foster he has learned to stay many hours alone with other foster dogs. At his current foster home there are some puppies and he enjoys a lot to play with them; that is why he needs a family with another playful dog. What is the dog’s rescue story? Roosevelt was rescued on the outskirts of Guadalajara city looking for food and it seems that he had spent a lot of time roaming around with his fur all tangle and starving, but fortunately for him, a good lady cross his way and decided to help him. She contacts us looking for help and then we decided to take him under our care. Roosevelt is waiting in Mexico until a family is committed to fostering him or taking him on a trial.
