Marlo

We need transport drivers who can do legs between WV and New England! “Please submit an adoption application if you would like to adopt me!” Marlo, now 11 months old, was surrendered to ARF on 1/3/23 at 9 months and received his first DHPP shot that day and a follow-up DHPP later. He was spending … entirely too much time in a crate after his owner and girlfriend split up, and Marlo was home alone for endless hours. That must have been awful for a pup with energy to spare! Marlo looks like a German shepherd and Catahoula mix and is just over 40 pounds. He’s a pretty dog who loves to go for walks and explore! He likes other dogs, plays with toys, and really wants to be with people. The staff at boarding say that he’s been very well-behaved, keeps a clean kennel, walks okay on a leash, and knows “sit.” He is treat motivated and responds to his name. His former owner advised that he would chew bedding, but that may have been because he was alone so much. Marlo was neutered on 1/27/23. His 4DX was negative although his fecal showed whipworms. He was started on drontal with additional doses for follow up. Marlo had his bordatella and his rabies shot. Marlo is learning new things, but he is naturally friendly and loves companionship of both dogs and humans. He met some cats at Tractor Supply without incident, but he might chase one outside if it ran. This boy needs a fenced yard and a family that will spend time with him and do things with him. Being crated and alone for hours every day must have been awful for him, and he deserves better! Marlo ais a pretty dog, friendly dog, and smart dog! He just may be the dog for you!
