Kiwi

About Kiwi

Check out our beautiful fall harvest- Squash, Pickle, Kiwi and Broccoli! These 4 adorable puppies were found abandoned, so we do not know what breeds mom or dad may have been, but what we do know is that they are snuggly, sweet, gentle, playful, and oh-so loveable! Squash, Pickle, Kiwi, and Broccoli were taken in by a truly wonderful PPR foster family where they have been bottle-fed, socialized, and adored. They are now 3 months old and looking for their forever families. Kiwi is an independent girl. She loves to be with her people but doesn’t cry if she’s not right with you. Kiwi loves to play and loves treats! She is good with kids but she is mouthy as she is teething. Kiwi usually goes for the toys before she goes for fingers, but supervision is always needed with puppies and young children. She is off to a great start with potty training. Kiwi is a very sweet girl. Please remember puppies are very mouthy and active which can sometimes be overwhelming for young children. Please Note: 1. You must have a dedicated private space for potty and outdoor exploration. Puppies often need additional immunizations before they are allowed to walk in public spaces such as apartment complexes, dog parks and anywhere other animals may be until the puppies are fully immunized. 2. Unless an existing good vet record exists, we will not adopt to anyone further than 1-hour drive from the listed location. We need to be in close proximity to adopters when we need to follow up on vaccinations and spay/neuter. There is an additional spay/neuter deposit for an adopter within one hour who does not have a current or prior good vet record. 3. Pup cannot be left alone for more than 3-4 hours at a time. This is necessary for comfort breaks and much-needed socialization for a pup this age. 4. These puppies can be mouthy/sharks and are best suited to homes without children under 6 years old. We review veterinary care for applicants. This includes regular well visits, core vaccinations, spay/neuter, heartworm, and tickborne tests, as well as regular monthly heartworm prevention and flea/tick prevention. You must contact your veterinarian’s office to give them permission to speak to us before we call them to verify the care you have provided for your pets. If your application meets our adoption criteria, we will contact you within 1 week. At that time, you will be contacted (usually by email) to schedule a phone interview and a virtual home visit (Facetime, Skype, etc.). Please check your SPAM folder for emails from Puppy Paws Rescue. Due to the volume of applications, applications that do not move forward to an interview may not receive a reply within that time frame. Our rescue is an all-volunteer team managing families, our paying jobs, households, foster dogs, application processing, interviews, home visits, follow-up, transports, and much more. We ask that you be courteous and patient with us. If you’re seeing this listing the dog/puppy is still available. Please do not send an inquiry asking if the dog/puppy is available. All of our dogs/puppies are kept in private foster homes. For this reason, we do not schedule meets until after an application has been processed and approved.
