About Cosmo

“Did I catch your eye? Learn more about me by reading my profile below; I just might be your new best friend!” Cosmo is approximately 4-5 years old and weighs about 60 pounds. He is dog friendly and requires another dog in home. He is unknown with cats but is kid friendly. He is potty trained. “Hi, my name is Cosmo, and I have had a tough go of it in my first four years. I was in a situation that wasn’t ideal. Someone had me and left me outside and was neglectful. I still love people, and when I find my forever human, I will love them, enjoy their companionship, and be loyal. I just want to please my people. I love my foster mom I want to be by her side whenever possible. She takes me on walks every day but only short ones. She was told that I have arthritis (yes, I know I’m only 4.5 years but like I already mentioned, my first four years weren’t ideal), so we go for short walks to stretch my legs, and she lets me sniff. I also go to the chiropractor and I love swimming. I am curious about the world and love to go on little adventures so I can sniff to my heart’s content. I love being outside, but I’d prefer to be an indoor dog. There’s a thing called a couch that I can’t get enough of. I’d spend all my time there if I could. I love the kiddie pool and the freedom to roam the yard at my foster family’s home. I hope that you might have a place for me too. I’ll try not to steal your heart, but it might be hard because I’m so handsome. All I want is to be loved. Will you love me?” Adoption fee is $395. If you’d like to arrange a private meeting or begin the adoption process, please fill out an adoption application. Note on breed and age determination: Breed and age are often determined on appearance, our own knowledge, veterinarian advice, and/or information from the sending shelters or previous owners. Most of our adoptable dogs were previously stray dogs with little history. We can’t be 100% sure of a dog’s breed mix, and unless there is a specific date of birth listed, we can’t be 100% sure of a dog’s age. Additionally, our assessments of a dog’s interactions with other dogs, cats, or children are based on our experiences. Your experience may differ. Adoption fee includes: wellness check, spay/neuter (puppies adopted with required spay/neuter certificate), age-appropriate vaccines – rabies as required by law and distemper combo or proof of positive titer test Heartworm test if over 7 months of age, fecal test and/or deworming for parasites, microchip. Healing Hearts rescue will also provide dental procedures, bloodwork, surgeries, and/or any other additional vet work as needed while dogs are in our care. Adoption fees are non-negotiable and fees are listed on the dog’s profile. Want to help save more dogs?
