“Hi. My name is Casey. I was found as a baby after a storm with a fractured ankle so could not use my right back leg. I had surgery with pins in my leg and spent a lot of time with a splint and my foster mom had to hold my behind up when I walked. She also put a baggy on my leg, so my bandages … didn’t get wet when I went out. I still couldn’t use my leg. When I finally got all that junk off my leg, I thought I would be perfect, but my ankle turned outwards. My vet said I was healed well, but growing and the limp may or may not get better. I still limp on my leg, but it doesn’t slow me down at all. On top of all that, I started getting an awful rash and couldn’t stop scratching. My mom tried lots of meds and different foods and detergents, but we never found out what was causing the rash. My doctor put me on Apoquel and I’m much better now. I have always been a precious boy and never gave my mom and dad any problems. I love other dogs, especially puppies, but sometimes a new dog scares me until I know they are okay. I have a very deep bark and haven’t learned what an inside voice is. I learned to sit when I was very little, and I love going for walks. I am completely housebroken and love to sleep by my mom. I’m not a baby now, but a big handsome boy. Come and meet me today!”
