Calista VG

Sweet Calista came to us with her little family of siblings. Caught roaming the streets we were able to capture them all and get them safe from starvation. Calista is a shy girl. She is going to require someone who has patience and understanding. In a matter or a minute her world was flipped upside … down going from having to hunt and scavenge for food to a kennel and food and a bed. It was a lot for a little puppy to take in that had been on her own for so long. She is slowly opening up to her foster mom and every now and then will let her get on her level and come over for some pets/ licks of the hand. Treats and smelling like hot dogs/ peanut butter helps! Calista loves other dogs and gets along great with her foster homes pack. She is playful and energetic with them. Sometimes maybe too energetic as she can be an escape artist and find even the smallest of holes in the fence to see if she can fit and make a b-line to the neighbor’s house! Calista will need to stay local to Texas for the time being. Each day she is gaining confidence and understanding and realizing that people are not all mean and that there ares some out there that really do love dogs and want nothing but goodness for them.
