About Zola
Zola and Nova arrived to us with some very strong barky/ guarding behaviors on board. We think their previous life may have been to keep people away from their owner and his residence. They put on a very strong display of GO AWAY!!! But if you tell them to knock it off, they do listen. This … behavior was what they were trained for, so it will not be turned off asap in these two. They will need work and a new dog savvy owner. We will not accept first time dog owners. Once out of the shelter and on a walk they are different dogs, happy, friendly, and like to meet new people. Zola shows a bit more reactivity to other dogs than Nova. And she tends to be a more dominant of the two. We would like to see them adopted separate as they need some one on one work and training. We would also prefer somewhere more remote for them as the business of the city environment will cause them to bark a lot while in the household. No cats, kids or other dogs please. Once comfy with you they are really lovely girls who are happy to offer affection and receive it too!
