Say hello to incredible Zeus! He spent his first 8 months locked in a tiny crate, then was purchased by someone who keep him chained up outside on a 3-foot chain attached to a dog house. The owner surrendered him, stating he escaped their unfenced yard too frequently and the neighbors were … threatening to call the police. This 1-year-old, red Doberman is the sweetest, cuddliest, Velcro Doberman you’ll ever meet. He can be nervous around strangers, and it takes him a little time to warm up to humans, but once he realizes he can trust you, he’s all love. He likes to play fetch and chew on bones. He gets along great with other friendly dogs, he would likely do best in a home with another doggie playmate. He doesn’t seem interested in cats or other small animals. He has been around chickens and didn’t bother them. He has lived with children (12 and up), and seemed to be really attached to the 14-year-old boy in the house. He has learned basic commands, does great on leash and is housebroken. He just wants to be loved and scratched.
