Zape

About Zape

This is Zape, a sweet pup born into a partner rescue in Mexico after his pregnant mother was rescued as a stray. Now over a year old, Zape has patiently waited to make the journey to Canada in search of his forever home. Zape’s foster describes him as a very gentle, affectionate dog who adores human companionship, always wanting to be close by and following his people around the house. Initially shy but warming up quickly, Zape loves cuddling and is still figuring out the world, showing interest in chew toys. While fearful, he is not reactive, and his foster ensures he has ample space to get accustomed to his surroundings without feeling overwhelmed. Zape enjoys two 30-minute walks per day, plus potty breaks, though he’s still learning the ropes of leash walking. Crate-trained and sleeping through the night in his crate, Zape may whine briefly when first settling in, but he grows comfortable. Currently living with another dog, Zape is adaptable and would thrive in a home with a canine companion or as the sole pet, showered with attention. While untested with cats, Zape is described as gentle and likely to do well with respectful, dog-savvy children. An affable, eager-to-please pup, Zape is prepared to bring joy and love into a forever family – those interested in adopting him are encouraged to apply today.
