WAYLON

About WAYLON

Waylon is a 38#, 2.5-yr Hound/Lab with a voice to be heard around the world. He would make a great adventure buddy. Waylon is a sweet boy who has a bit of bouncy life, but is settling well at the kennel. He is a very active boy who is curious about the world. Long walks as you are dragged behind him as he follows his nose, playing the yard, and snuggling with his human(s) under the blanket are some of his favorite things. Due to an unknown background we are unsure how he would do in a home with kids, cats, and other dogs. He is learning to make friends at the shelter but may do best in a home with dogs in his size or larger if any. Though he is crate-trained he does get car sick on his travels. Please note due to the hound nose and energy a very securely fenced yard is required. Waylon is going to make a great companion and possible adventure buddy. No appartmens, preferably not in city limits. Waylon says “Hi! Let’s play! Hi! Let’s go for a walk. I’m a bouncy, loud, jolly fellow who is looking for some humans to love. Look, I may not know a lot but I’m a fast learner and eager to please. I’m kinda ok if you have kids but it might be best if they are bit older, cause I’m a bit clumsy and fast. That makes me bump into and run over things. They tell me there are these things called cats, but who knows how I would do. I love to chase things. When I see the other dogs I love to bay (that’s a loud bark) at them very loudly, but who knows maybe I have a friend or two just waiting to meet little old me. Hope to see you soon!” If you have further questions, emails are the only method of communication at this time. We all care about the health of our 2-legged caregivers and the community at large, so as a precaution we are temporarily suspending our public open hours. We are still taking email inquiries and applications, and will be in touch with you as soon as we are able. We appreciate everyone’s understanding during this difficult time! Stay well! All AAP dogs come up to date on vaccinations, spayed/neutered, and microchipped.
