Everyone, please welcome Suki! Suki is a young Alaskan mixed breed (we are unsure of her exact age) who weighs about 45 pounds. She is currently available for adoption through Kenai Peninsula Animal Lovers (KPAL) Rescue! Before considering adding Suki to your family, please note that KPAL Rescue … has a mandatory adoption process in place which includes a background check and a home visit. More information on our adoption process can be found in our pinned post, please read that (and this adoption post) in their entirety – our process cannot be waived. Suki has an incredibly sweet and gentle nature. She came to us pretty timid and wary of sudden movements, but this has lessened and she is showing us how lovable and loving she is! Suki is always up for a walk or jog and is learning to pull less on her leash. When approached with a leash, she does a quick turn and lays right down to make attaching it easy for you – she is a very good girl. While she’s still learning to be comfortable inside the house, she loves to be right up next to you, enjoying pets and ear scratches. She is potty-trained and will stand by the door when she needs to go potty. Suki doesn’t quite understand the game of fetch, but she is extremely intelligent and just wants to make you happy. She has done well with older children. She hasn’t been around younger ones but she is so gentle that she would likely be good with them, as well. She does well when meeting other dogs, but she has not met cats. Her strong instinct to run means she would do best with a strong containment plan. Shed be a runner’s or skier’s best pal! KPAL Rescue dogs are fully vetted (vaccinated, microchipped, etc.) and spayed/neutered, there will be an adoption fee of $300 so that we can continue to help other animals in need. As always, donations are also very appreciated. Serious inquires only, please, and feel free to share.
Vaccinations up to date, spayed / neutered.
