About Robby (MNK)
Great with dogs and kids, Robbie is a loyal companion. His intelligence and active spirit will light up your home. He has done great with dogs. He doesn’t play a ton, but he likes to play chase with the other dog in his foster home. He joins in barking, but he doesn’t get it started himself. We … imagine he’d do great in doggy daycare. We aren’t sure how he would do with cats, as he hasn’t met one yet under our supervision. Kids – He loves kids and is great with the 7-year-old one in his foster home. – Potty training: fully trained! – Crate trained: He’s not fully kennel-trained, but getting there! He gets all his treats in the crate at his foster home. Kennel training will be great for him to develop a sense of stability, so it’s important that he uses a crate with his forever family. – Separation anxiety: Robbie does have a bit of separation anxiety. He’ll need consistency and routine to help him feel more comfortable alone. He may prefer to be in doggy daycare rather than be left alone too often. – Activity level: Robbie is an active dog. He has had to be on rest for the past month because he was heartworm positive, and he misses exercise so much! He’d love to go for runs, hikes, lots of walks, and even join you on bicycle rides! -Home life: He loves his people and likes to be in the same room with them as much as possible, but he’s not super into getting a bunch of rubs and pets or playing a bunch with his toys. If possible, he’d love a doggy door and a yard to go in and out, since he’s used to living at an outdoor kennel run. – New people: super friendly. He did a great job at a pool party with people of all ages! He’s a little wary of new “big” people, but just give him a second to adjust. Training and obedience: He is so smart and he’s food-motivated (big fan of all meat). He could learn all kinds of fun things! Car: He is working on it. He is willing to get in the front seat, but he walks around a bit. – Other quirks: He is afraid of the water hose. The separation anxiety is really the biggest thing… otherwise he’s so easy and loving! Other great things about Robbie: He used to be a street dog, so he’s independent, savvy, and smart! Robbieis not a picky eater. He does not dig and he likes people-watching. The adoption fee is $500. He is up to date on vaccines according to age, has received proper deworming, and comes with additional dewormer if needed. This pet is microchipped, spayed/neutered, comes with 2-6 months of Heartworm preventative, and one month free trial of pet insurance if registered by adopter with insurance company. All animals receive a health certificate (stating that a licensed veterinarian saw the pet and deemed it healthy for travel, but is not a promise of perfect health.). Our transports are USDA certified and the cost of transport is included in adoption fee! He is currently being fostered in Houston, TX but will be traveling to the PNW as soon as she finds her perfect home.
