Before contacting us. We do not respond to telephone inquiries. (Regan came to the rescue after she had given birth to a litter of puppies and was dumped at a shelter. From the beginning, she has been very sweet and affectionate with her humans. We estimate that she is about 2 years old. She is a … large, sweet, overgrown puppy. She is high energy, loves playing fetch, tug, or just playing with her two foster dog brothers. Regan is very patient with the young toddler in her foster home. She has learned basic commands such as “sit” and “lie down”, although sometimes can be a bit stubborn (she is working on all of these and is eager to please). She needs more training on leash walking. Regan would do amazing in a home with other dogs and children, as she would love people to shower her with attention. She is such a sweet, gentle dog that will make her forever home very happy. Regan’s ideal home would include another dog companion, a fenced yard as she loves running and playing outside and a home where someone is home a lot (work from home, retired, stay at home parent, etc.) because she will get anxious if she can’t be near her people. Her best day is playing with her puppy brothers all day, running around the yard, and then snuggling on the couch. She would do well in a home with multiple kids to engage her in play. She would not do well in a home with cats. If your family would like to provide Regan with the home she deserves, please complete the adoption application first. Regan is being fostered in the New England area; however, don’t let location be a barrier, BRI can arrange transport to many states east of the Mississippi!
