About Putt Putt
Putt Putt is a very solid puppy with short legs…and very sweet. We think he is a large Dachshund mix (short legs) and maybe with some kind of hound. He has short hair and is VERY smooth and soft. He weighs about 14 lbs right now and will probably be 30-35 lbs when grown. He has an energy level of … about 4-5 (with 10 being the highest). He was a little shy towards people but with TLC and lots of hugs he’s coming around just fine. We would suggest he NOT be in a family with children, since he needs a quiet home. He is NOT hypoallergenic in case you have allergies. He particularly likes cooked chicken… a favorite of most puppies. Finally, he will need a fenced yard since he is so skittish. Putt Putt has had 3 vaccinations, 1 Bordetella vax, Rabies Vax…dewormed, on heartworm prevention and flea/tick control. If you have any questions, feel free to contact me. He is available now to pre adopt and will arrive in the Northwest on July 11th. We have a 5-day trial period, so there is no risk in pre-adopting. Ask us how that works if interested. Please apply, please do not email us or call, we cannot do anything w/o an application that is completed in full. The more information you put in the application, the better we can match up a great fit for you. The rescue will contact you once the application is received. Although we strive to answer everyone, due to the high volume of inquiries we receive, we cannot guarantee a response to all emails. Filling out the application is the best way and ensures a response from the rescue. In addition, while you are emailing us, if others apply, you can lose out adopting the dog you chose. We have a wide variety of puppies/ dogs available so there really is no need to apply anywhere else. However, if you are applying or have applied anywhere else, we do need to know that. Also, please note that we conduct adoption events almost every Saturday at noon at Pet Works in Olympia, Washington. If you would like to meet with us in person, please visit. SHANYE’S FOSTERS is a group of foster parents in the Olympia/Tumwater area. We foster dogs for rescues to assist them in adoptioning/rehoming of dogs by listing on this site. We donate all volunteers to assist in getting these dogs forever homes. All adoption fees go towards processing more dogs in need. No one receives a salary. Shayne’s Fosters is not responsible for any experience you have with any dog you might see posted on this site. They are the property of the sponsoring rescue who will supply all medical supporting records which is given with each dog when adopted. Our adoption fees cover all medical costs to make sure the pups are appropriately vaccinated, microchipped, dewormed, and spayed/ neutered. It also covers the cost of transportation from Texas and the necessary health certificate documentation. The fees also include for any dogs over 6 months a negative heart-worm test. Some dogs/pups have additional medical, including but not limited to FHO, ACL, hernias, dental, and a myriad of other vetting. If the adoption fees seem high (which never cover the true cost of rescue), we recommend fostering for a good rescue. Fostering ensures you incur no vet bills and no boarding fees. We are always in need of good fosters. We are all volunteers who appreciate a good dog and feel they all need a 2nd chance at a good life. Adoption fees vary ($300 – $800) depending on age, breed, training, behavior, etc. Most are $400-$500. There are no additional fees, surcharges, or taxes added. Thank you for choosing to adopt a rescue pup/dog. Since worldwide over 1/2 billion puppies/dogs are PTS yearly and over 9,000/day just in U.S. shelters, yes even entire litters of puppies are PTS daily in many US shelters! Hence, we firmly believe there is NO breed other than rescue for all species. Thank you for being part of the village it takes to save these precious lives.
