Prince

About Prince

Prince is currently in a foster home in Houston, TX and can transport to an adopter as soon as one is lined up! Prince is an adorable catahoula/lab mix. He is estimated to be about 4 years old and he is neutered, microchipped and up to date on all of his vaccines. Prince was pulled from the euthanasia list at a shelter in Houston, TX. We’re not sure of Prince’s past, but we can’t imagine it was a good one. Prince has a small rectangular patch on his back where he is missing hair from. It appears to have been from a chemical burn and it is likely that this patch won’t grow hair back. It is completely healed up and doesn’t bother Prince at all! Prince is extremely loving and affectionate towards his people and he loves running around in the yard and getting his zoomies out with his four legged foster siblings. Prince has not been around small children or cats so we are not sure how he would react to either of them. Prince is completely potty trained and does NOT have any accidents inside. He is not a fan of the kennel and does not like to go in it, but he is a perfect angel when left out of the kennel and he does not tear anything up or get into trouble. Prince has been left out to free roam while his foster has stepped away to run errands and he just chills on the couch! Prince absolutely loves going on walks, car rides and to play with his ball. We recommend that Prince be fed separately from other dogs because he can be a little territorial when it comes to his food, but we are continuing to work on him with this and hope that with time, he’ll realize that his next meal is guaranteed. We have no history with kids and recommend a home with kids 8 years and older. We are taking our best guess & recommendations from our veterinarian on age, breed and size when fully grown. We rarely know a dog’s exact age nor are we able to tell the true or full breed mix of dogs as our information is limited most of the time. The first step in our process is filling out an application. We will review your application as soon as we are able – there are two of us and we do the best that we can. We review applications on a “first come, first serve” basis and look for the best fit/match for the dog and applicant. Out-of-town pets are cared for by non-local organizations who can make arrangements for the pet to be transported to your area.
