About Pam the Bulldog (LJM)
This brown brindled English Bulldog mama Pam was found in a rural shelter. Her intake stated. She was eight years and underweigth with poor skin. Signs of mutliple c-section scars confirmed our belief that she was used for breeding then discarded. She does not like grass and stays on concrete … (likely kept in a kennel her whole life). As her body weight increased and her overall health improved – we guess she’s between 6-8 years old. She is healthy – chill and with no signs of needing special or senior care yet. Her bloodwork looked great! Her teeth are grinded down but that doesn’t stop her at meal time. She is now fostered as a house pet, safe inside with all the luxaries. We named her Pam and found she is house trained, walks nicely on a leash, likes car rides and normally is very quiet. Pam does not do well with other dogs, or near them. She will bark and growl at another dog if too close. She prefers to spend all day napping through the house on various rugs or blankets. She tolerates brief walks outside to go potty and will exercise to the stop sign and back (she’s on a mission to go back home to the A/C). Pam is fostered in a home with other dogs, but after multiple introductions, it was decided she just needs to be someone’s only pet. Pam enjoys her special one-on-one time with her foster mom in the morning; making coffee- gossiping- taking photos for Facebook- eating treats-bathing in the sunshine- listening to music and demanding belly rubs. This English Bulldog has a resting face which adds to her personality. She is definately an alpha dog in the dog world, but gentle with humans. Pam is an English Bulldog and has all the typical breed issues – poor skin, allergies, ear infections, so she will need to be checked for bacterial and fungal infections by vet routinely. Breed experience is a plus, and she does not have any ‘special needs’ or medications at this time. Pam could enjoy a home with a retiree or working professional as she is crate trained, requires little exercise and is cooperative out in public. Pam will not be placed in a home with other pets and should not visit a dog park. She does not require a backyard, she did a sleepover in a condo and enjoyed that life too. Pam just needs her person(s) and regular spa days. The adoption fee is $500.00. She is up to date on vaccines according to age, has received proper deworming, and comes with additional dewormer if needed. This pet is microchipped, spayed, comes with 6-month Heartworm preventative, and one month free trial of pet insurance if registered by adopter with insurance company. All animals receive a health certificate (stating that a licensed veterinarian saw the pet and deemed it healthy for travel, but is not a promise of perfect health.). Our transports are USDA certified and the cost of transport is included in adoption fee! She is currently being fostered in Houston, Tx but will be traveling to the PNW as soon as she finds her perfect home or may be traveling to a foster in the PNW soon. We value our potential adopters time and appreciate your patience as our staff navigate through the blessing of an overwhelming response for adoptions. Please be aware that questions or inquiries will not be answered unless an application is already on file for us to review.
