Nick

About Nick

Meet Nick **If interested, please include your email and phone number we may reach you at** Nick is a special needs dog, sweet, full of life 2-3 year old dog that is looking for his forever home! His favorite activities are playing with other dogs, looking like a stuffed animal on a dog bed, and hanging out with his foster human and dog family. Nick was diagnosed with Pharyngeal Dysphagia, which means he has difficulty swallowing. This can cause Nick to aspirate, so his current foster family has been busy trying to find the best maintenance plan for him. His current regimen includes making many meatballs and sliders of a specific size along with his herbs in goats milk/kefir for both breakfast and dinner. Nick has been on and will need to continue on a holistic care treatment plan since the summer of 2020, and has been working on strengthening his interior muscles, nerves, lungs and respiratory system through acupuncture, acupressure points, herbs, and supplements. Nick has a great play style and loves to go run around outside with his doggy friends; a fenced yard is a must on his list. Due to his swallowing disease his family will need to keep an extra eye on any weather changes so nothing rocks Nick’s boat. Because of Nick’s Pharyngeal Dysphagia, he does wear a harness instead of a collar so there is no added pressure to his head and neck. Nick is a social butterfly with not only dogs, but people as well. He always has a smile on his face, and a tail-a-wagging. He is working on polishing his basics but just loves any and all attention.
