About Lisa

Lisa is an 8-month-old, 22 lb mix (herding breed with small breed is our best guess) who was rescued near San Bernardino, CA with Mona (who we believe is her momma). We will share more info as we get to know her in foster care. Seattle Foster Update: Lisa gets along great with dogs and loves to chase and wrestle. She must have a balanced doggie companion in her forever home. She finds comfort and confidence with dogs in the house. She does have a shy personality but she can also be very outgoing when the zoomies come out! With people, she is timid at first, but always wagging her tail regardless. Even if you only make eye contact, she will wag her tail. She has slowly started to come up for affection and neck scratches. She does great in her crate, and stays there multiple hours throughout the day, and even at night — she sleeps in the crate with the door open. She loves to come out in the morning and start by sniffing and licking your hands to wake you up. She is completely potty and house trained and will whine when she needs to go out. She loves to be outside and run around — but this makes walking on a leash a bit difficult only because she is so excited to see and sniff everything! She doesn’t pull but loves to go left then right then left again, all while wagging her tail. The rain has not been her favorite thing so far so she won’t mind at all if you want to snuggle up on the couch all day. She’s still figuring out toys, but one thing is for sure — ripping them up is fun! We are working on leash manners and basic obedience. Adoption Info: Adoption fee is $500, which includes spay/neuter, current rabies/DAPPV/bordetella vaccinations, microchip, health certificate, and heartworm test. All adoption fees are donations to a Washington non-profit corporation and all donations go to benefit the animals in our rescue.
